Isaac Asimov on Education and computers
In this clip from 1988, the late Isaac Asimov -- hailed by some as "the greatest explainer of our age" -- talks about his belief that an education revolution is necessary and possible as computers take over menial tasks. Education must nourish people's appreciation of creativity, through individualized, computer-based learning, he adds.
This conversation is from "A World of Ideas," a series of half-hour interviews with scientists, writers, artists, philosophers and historians exploring the ideas and values shaping our future. Learn more about it here: billmoyers.com/series/a-world-of-ideas/
